Cellist, experimental
As a classically schooled cellist, Utrecht musician Maarten Vos uses different electronic and acoustic extended techniques to enrich and manipulate the old sound of his cello. His music can be defined as dreamy landscapes with an experimental touch. Maarten collaborates with a wide range of different international ensembles and artists in electronic, classical, and pop music.

Long before they decided to make music together, London-based pianist/composer Tom Hodge and French electronic producer Franz Kirmann were already friends due to a mutual appreciation and respect for their work. It's this peculiar clash of different worlds, both in culture and in musical genres, that makes this collaboration work so well. Minimalistic classical piano and cello compositions are accompanied by intricate electronica and ambient found sounds, although the fine line that determines which of the two is there in support of the other is often blurred. It's this ambiguity that makes Piano Interrupted so compelling.

20.15 Michael feuerstack

Before Michael Feuerstack started to make music under his own name, he was the driving force behind the solo/collaborative project Snailhouse. However, in 2012 he decided to abandon the Snailhouse moniker. The black and white photo of Michael in his living room on the cover of the first album under his own name empowers this decision, and hints at the delicate and personal nature of the beautiful, mostly acoustic gems that you'll find inside. His lyrics tell a story and are always touching, even humorous at times.
21.15 Will Samson

When his old roommate decided to move back to Stockholm, Will Samson started fiddling around with the collection of old cassettes, Tascam 8-track and cassette deck for tape mastering he left behind. Samson was soon captivated by the magic of analogue recording. He spent many introverted nights quietly recording acoustic compositions until the sun would rise. He would later layer these recordings with lo-fi electronics, piano ambiences and falsetto vocals. As a result, his live performances are always on the exciting edge of frail yet tangible, and hauntingly distant while at the same time provokingly close.
